In the second edition of the Co-Processing Magazine, we report, among other things, on the sampling of waste to determine how much refuse derived fuels can be produced from it. In addition to many news from the field of alternative fuels in the cement and lime industries, we also report on the use of alternative fuels in coal-fired power plants. Certainly a hot topic, as many coal-fired power plants will be shut down in the next few years in order to reach the CO₂ reduction targets of the state governments.
In this edition you will also read about the new V-Mill technology, whose development has been accompanied by MVW Lechtenberg for several years. This technology can also be used in the power generation industry to produce finely ground alternative fuels that ignite faster and burn out completely, an important subject for coal-fired power plants.
Last but not least, we also provide programme updates for the next Alternative Fuel Symposium in September. Only a few weeks remaining until we meet, hopefully in cooler temperatures, here in Duisburg!
The “Co-Processing Magazine” will come to you in four editions per year, so subscribe here to stay up-to-date!
